GENERAL INFORMATION
This Woodtek #1 Lathe is the demo model that Woodworker's Supply used at trade shows and has been lightly used. It is in excellent condition. Many of the outboard components are new and purchased in early 2017.

FEATURES

  • Heavy cast iron construction, high low-end torque, and a flexible modular design system.

  • Powered by a 3HP DC drive system with three-speed ranges: 0-600, 0-1200, 0-2000 RPM and dynamic braking.

  • The 3HP, 15 Amp, Minarik 230V PWM (pulse-width-modulated) DC drive motor maintains a constant speed during heavy turning conditions.

  • Heavy 2-1/2" diameter spindle shaft, a dynamic load capacity of 14,000 pounds.

  • Flex-free outboard tool rest locking, surface hardened tool rests.

  • Lathe beds are made of Meehanite™, a superior casting material produced in a patented controlled under-cooling process that ensures a consistent grade of casting material.

  • Meehanite™ has internal lubricating agents providing a smother, friction-free surface on the bed ways. The letter "M" embossed on the side of the lathe bed stands for Meehanite™

  • Tool rests are made of Meehanite™ cast iron and the tops of the rests are surface-hardened to HRC 60 minimizing dents from turning tools.

  • Variable speed control with a digital tachometer.

  • Self-ejecting tailstock.

  • Made in Taiwan
